WELCOME TO THE WEBSITE OF ELUA
Lingüística. Universidad de Alicante (ELUA) is
a scientific peer reviewed journal edited by the areas of Spanish Language and General Linguistics
of the Department of Spanish Studies, General Linguistics and Literature Theory
of the University of Alicante. Its Editorial and Advisory Boards consist of researchers
of both areas, as well as outstanding experts from different universities.
The first issue of ELUA was available in 1983, when
several colleagues of this department looked for means to inform about their
own research and encourage other scholars to share their findings. The result
was the creation of this publication, which is widely devoted to linguistics.
The journal is published once a year and has maintained
a homogenous format over time. Furthermore, four special issues – in
1998, 2001, 2004 and 2009 – have appeared so far.
abides by editorial standards in terms of objective and transparent article selection
and straightforward evaluation criteria by the procedure of anonymous external peer review. ELUA’s
editorial line complies with the Code
of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics
Currently, besides the printed version, the content of
the issues is provided online, both at the journal’s website and at the University
of Alicante Repository (RUA). All this makes it possible for ELUA to be included in different
databases, such as LATINDEX, LABS, LLBA, ISOC, among others.
In order to continue with these more than 30 years of history,
Estudios de Lingüística. Universidad de
Alicante (ELUA) invites you to submit your contributions – both articles
and reviews – about a variety of linguistic topics regardless of their theoretical
